PLANNING BOARD

MINUTES

JANUARY 28, 2009

 

 

 

PRESENT:  Walt Ryan- Chairman, Robert Phillips, Barney Brower

 

ABSENT:  Marilyn Salvione, John Vadney

 

Chairman Ryan opened the meeting at 5: 25PM

 

MOTION:  Upon motion made by Barney Brower and 2nd by Robert Phillips the minutes from the December 17, 2008 meeting  were approved as written by the Clerk.  All in favor (3) Ryan, Phillips, Brower.

 

PUBLIC HEARING  #1

 

ANDREW ASKEW-SITE PLAN FOR USED CAR BUSINESS

LOCATION: 2948 State Hwy 30, Gloversville NY in the Town of Mayfield

 

MOTION:  Upon motion made by  Barney Brower and 2nd by Robert Phillips the Public Hearing for  Andrew Askew-Site Plan was opened.

 

Chairman Ryan reviewed the paperwork for completeness.  Fulton County Planning Board reviewed the application, and found no environmental implications.

 

NEW BUSINESS

 

ALBAINIAN CONNECTION LLC-3 LOT SUBDIVISION

SBL # 103.-3-6

LOCATION- 385 BEECH ST, MAYFIELD

ZONED-RE

 

Chairman Ryan reviewed the application with the Board.  The criteria for an Exempt Subdivision was discussed.  With all the criteria being met, the following motion was made

 

MOTION:  Upon motion made by Robert Phillips and 2nd by Barney Brower per Appendix A, Paragraph DD of the Town of Mayfield Subdivision Regulations  the Albainian Connection LLC application was determined Exempt, and the Planning Board requires no further action.  All in favor (3) Ryan Phillips, and Brower.

 

 

MOTION:  Upon motion made by Robert Phillips and 2nd by Barney Brower the Public Hearing for Andrew Askew was closed at 5:45PM.  All in favor (3) Ryan, Phillips, and Brower.

 

 

MOTION:  Upon motion made by  Barney Brower and 2nd by Robert Phillips the Site Plan for Andrew Askews Used Car Business was approved.  All in favor (3)  Ryan, Phillips, and Brower.

 

 PUBLIC HEARING # 2

 

GOODHUE/BUSHEY- SITE PLAN FOR A MODULAR HOME SALES BUSINESS

SBL# 152.-6-21

LOCATION-3983 STATE HYW 30, AMSTERDAM

ZONE-COMMERCIAL

 

 

MOTION:  Upon motion made by Barney Brower and 2nd by Robert Phillips the Public Hearing for  the Goodhue/Bushey Site Plan for Serenity Housing Sales Inc.  was opened at 5:45PM.

 

Chairman Ryan reviewed the application for completeness with the Board.

 

CORRESPONDENCE

Chairman Ryan discussed with the Board  a letter received from the CEO Michael Stewart.  The letter contained four items for possible review by the Planning Board.  The Planning Board took no action at this time.

 

 

MOTION:  Upon motion made by Robert Phillips and 2nd by Barney Brower the Public Hearing For the Goodhue/Bushey Serenity Housing Sales Inc. was closed at 6:05PM.  Al in favor (3) Ryan, Phillips, and Brower.

 

MOTION:  Upon motion made by Robert Phillips and 2nd by Barney Brower the Site Plan for Serenity Housing Sales was Approved.  All in Favor (3) Ryan, Phillips, and Brower.

 

CORRESPONDENCE

A short discussion was held on a letter sent to the Town Board for the Town of Mayfield by Frasier and Associates.   The Town Board has not yet signed a contract with Frasier Associates.  No action taken by the Planning Board at this time.

 

MOTION:  Upon motion made by Barney Brower and 2nd by Robert Phillips that Walt Ryan was appointed Chairman  for the Planning Board for the year 2009.  All in favor (3) Ryan, Phillips, and Brower.

 

MOTION:  Upon motion made by Barney Brower and 2nd by Robert Phillips the meeting was adjourned at 6:15PM.  All in favor (3) Ryan, Phillips, Brower.
