A regular meeting of the Mayfield Town Board was held on Thursday, September 20, 2007 at the Mayfield Municipal Complex 28 North School Street.

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM and opened with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Mel Dopp.

 

PRESENT

Alan McLain, Supervisor

Richard Argotsinger, Councilman

Jack Putman, Councilman

Walter Ryan, Councilman

 

ABSENT: Katherine Sieg, Councilwoman

 

OTHERS PRESENT: Myrna Hallenbeck, Kathi Hillock Assessor, Bill Guido,

 Mel Dopp, Michael Stewart CEO

 

PUBLIC- Councilman Argotsinger thanked the candidates that promptly took their signs down.

 

DEPARTMENT REPORTS

HIGHWAY SUPERINTENDENT REPORT-

Tom Ruliffson Highway Superintendent was not present at the meeting due to a death in his family.

BUILDING INSPECTOR REPORT-

Michael Stewart CEO submitted his monthly report which included 13 permits issued for the month and reported that he had met with APA to mark out the wetlands at the Highway Department.

A small discussion was held on the contaminated soil at the Highway Department.

ASSESSOR REPORT-

Kathi Hillock Assessor submitted her report that included new legislative and are getting ready to send exemption forms out.

SUPERVISOR REPORT-

Supervisor McLain reported that everything is ready for Bushnell Road Bridge. A meeting will be held on Thursday September 27th at 9:30AM at the site.

An update on the post office was given including the town received a check for the utilities and October 1st will be putting the electric over to the post office.

Supervisor McLain thanked town clerk Dorothy Hart for covering the Board of Appeals meeting.

Also reported on recent meeting with Fraiser and Associates regarding the consideration of a water and sewer district on Lakeside Drive and Paradise Point.

Councilman Ryan questioned if the lines had been painted on Woods Hollow road? Supervisor McLain stated he spoke with Tom Ruliffson and this road is slated to be done soon.

 

RES#117 RECOMMENDATION OF 30 MPH ON WOODS HOLLOW ROAD

On motion by Councilman Ryan and seconded by Councilman Argotsinger the following resolution was ADOPTED 4 AYES (McLain, Argotsinger, Putman, Ryan) 1 ABSENT (Sieg)

RESOLVED that the Mayfield Town Board approves the recommendation to set the speed limit on Woods Hollow Road at 30mph.

 

RES# 118 APPROVAL OF VOUCHERS

On motion by Councilman Ryan and seconded by Councilman Putman the following resolution was ADOPTED 4 AYES (McLain, Argotsinger, Putman, Ryan) 1ABSENT (Sieg)

RESOLVED that the Mayfield Town Board approves the payment of vouchers in the following accounts

Prepaid  voucher 4

General Townwide vouchers 250-269  $15,360.95

General Outside  vouchers 64-70      $14,070.68

Highway Outside vouchers 127-149  $10,225.60

RES# 119 MOVE INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION

On motion by Councilman Argotsinger and seconded by Councilman Putman the following resolution was ADOPTED 4 AYES (McLain, Argotsinger, Putman, Ryan) 1 ABSENT (Sieg)

RESOLVED that the Mayfield Town Board approves to move into executive session at 7:30 PM for the purpose of work history of an employee.

 

RES# 120 MOVE OUT OF EXECUTIVE SESSION

On motion by Councilman Ryan and seconded by Councilman Putman the following resolution was ADOPTED 4 AYES (McLain, Argotsinger, Putman, Ryan) 1 ABSENT (Sieg)

RESOLVED that the Mayfield Town Board approves to move out of executive session and back into regular session at 8:45PM.

 

RES# 121 APPOINTMENT OF KATHI HILLOCK ASSESSOR

On motion by Councilman Ryan and seconded by Councilman Argotsinger the following resolution was ADOPTED 4 AYES (McLain, Argotsinger, Putman, Ryan) 1 ABSENT (Sieg)

RESOLVED that the Mayfield Town Board approves the appointment of Kathi Hillock as assessor as stated in the town's job description from October 1, 2007 - September 30, 2013.

 

On motion by Councilman Ryan and seconded by Councilman Argotsinger the meeting was adjourned at 9:03 PM 4 AYES (McLain, Argotsinger, Putman, Ryan) 1 ABSENT (Sieg)
