The Regular Meeting was called to order by the Supervisor and opened with the Pledge of Allegiance by Supervisor McLain at 7:00 p.m.
PUBLIC- Sam Jackling of the Broadalbin Ambulance spoke to the board on recent workmen's compensation cases which the town of Broadalbin has paid even though the ambulance covers some of the town of Mayfield and Perth. Broadalbin Supervisor Lee Hallenbeck also spoke about the rising costs and was asking for a contribution from Mayfield and Perth as it is the law. A discussion followed and the board decided to wait until the next meeting to make a decision.

SET SALARY FOR APPOINTED OFFICIALS

RESOLVED that the Town Board set a salary rate for the following appointed officials:
Assessment Review Board members of $150.00 per individual up to 15 hour limit, with an hourly rate of $10.00 per hour after a total of 15 hours.
Code Enforcement Officer - Michael Stewart as Code Enforcement Officer at a salary of $31,985.00 annually paid bi-weekly.
Assessor - Kathi Hillock as Town Assessor at a salary of $27,111.00 annually paid bi-weekly.

MISCELLANEOUS APPOINTMENTS
On motion by Councilman Putman seconded by Councilman Argotsinger the following was

RESOLVED that the Town Board, Town of Mayfield, establish the following:
Mileage rate .45 per mile for all town employees to be submitted on a quarterly basis by voucher for payment
Meal Expenses for conferences according to New York State guidelines on closest city or town.

Authorize the Highway Superintendent to spend up to $2,000 without prior Highway Committee approval.
Authorize the Supervisor to file with the Town Clerk a copy of Annual Financial Report by February 28, 2007 at which time report is also required to be filed with NYS Comptrollers Office.
Direct the Supervisor:
1. To invest in short-term Certificates of Deposit.
2. Forward payment for utilities and health program upon receipt to defray finance charges.
3. Forward monies to Fire District Number Two upon receipt from the Tax Collector on 2007 Tax Levy.

The Supervisor reminded the Town Board that issues of concern would be reviewed by committee and then reported back to the Board for action to be taken. The Supervisor, as exofficio, may sit on all committees. All matters regarding personnel would be conducted by the entire Board.
ANNUAL INVENTORY
The Annual Inventory will be reviewed by the Property Control Committee, verified by each department head and returned to the Board for approval. A copy would be filed with the Town Clerk for record and a copy forwarded to Lita Hillier for bookkeeping.

ESTABLISH SALARY FOR PART-TIME LABORERS WITH SANITATION EMPLOYEES

APPOINTMENT OF DEPUTY HIGHWAY SUPERINTENDENT

RESOLVED that the Town Board of the Town of Mayfield approves the letter from Supervisor Alan McLain requesting his salary be reduced to $60.00 per month from the budgeted amount of $1083.33 per month.

RESOLVED that the Mayfield Town Board approves reimbursement to Supervisor McLain in the amount of $410.00 per month beginning in January 2007 for health insurance benefits through the end of the year 2007.

Councilman Ryan reported that the water & Sewer Board will meet on January 25th with a representative from Frasier and Associates.
The Historian report was submitted for 2006
Supervisor McLain thanked Tom Ruliffson Highway Superintendent and Jane Potts DCO for all their help this past year.
Mike Stewart CEO will be meeting with Kucel Contractors and the engineer on January 10th regarding the lift.
